                                                          Secretary   has, over the past 40 years, worked as an Executive Secretary, Personal Assistant and as a Business Manager for ICI plc, Citigroup Venture Capital Ltd, Lehman Brothers International (Europe), Goldman Sachs International  Ltd and Saatchi & Saatchi.

 

Presently works as Chief Executive for a City Livery Company.  

 

Margaret has had a life long passion for listening to vocal and piano recitals and visits the opera as often as she can.

 

She has also studied the piano for many years, which is how she met Judy at the Bluthner Piano School. Margaret then began to attend  Lonarc Oboe Trio concerts and is now keen to help the Lonarc Foundation establish a solid administrative foundation to support their artisitic and educational objectives as listed in their mission statement.

Lu graduated with an MSc in International Accounting and Finance from Cass Business School in London.

 

She has accumulated work experience in Finance in a leading UK commercial healthcare charity Marie Stopes International,  as a tax advisor in Deloitte, and currently as a practice manager at JGTAX LLP , where she specializes in taxation of individuals and owner-managed business.

 

Her son Dominic takes piano lessons from Judy and Alice is keen to help the Lonarc Foundation secure and manage the arts patronage funding that the Lonarc musicians will need to enable them to accomplish their artistic and educational objectives.  

 

 

                                                  Interim Chairman  is one of the most versatile, successful and internationally respected British composers of his generation.

 

All of the major UK orchestras, and in numerous countries abroad, have performed his works, as have eminent ensembles and international soloists, and he has a substantial discography.

 

He has been the featured composer at many festivals both in the UK and abroad, and has also been BBC Composer of the Week. Music-lovers worldwide enjoy his music, as it never alienates - rather, creates an enriching experience that draws both audiences and performers in. The Lonarc Wind Quintet have been performing his  ‘Westerly Winds’ for the past four years and want to commission Paul to compose works for the Ensemble and Oboe Trio.

Paul has been a Trustee Governor of the PRS Benevolent Fund since 2002.

Paul met Judy when she was studying at Royal Academy of Music, playing in the Manson Ensemble which Paul conducted at the time, where they performed Lutoslowski's Jeux Vénitiens in the presence of the composer.

 

                                          is now working in Edinburgh, her home city,  as the Artistic Director for St Giles Cathedral, having recently retired as General and Artistic Director at the Bergen National Opera, in Bergen, Norway.

 

She began her career as a concert violinist, working internationally until 1990.

 

She became chief music critic of Scotland's national newspaper, The Scotsman, while directing the UK's first Nordic festival, based in Northern Scotland.

 

She produced and presented for the BBC Radio 3 before leading the development of new work for English National Opera between 1998 and 2001.

 

In 2001 she moved to the USA to direct the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in Connecticut, returning to Europe in 2005 as CEO and Artistic Director of the Stavanger 2008, European Capital of Culture 2008. 

 

She wrote the Spanish city of Burgos's bid to be European Capital of Culture for 2016.

Mary has been following the progress of the Lonarc Oboe Trio since 1994.

                                            Artistic Director  Oboist, founder member of Lonarc Oboe Trio, Lonarc Wind Quintet and Lonarc Wind Ensemble and Artistic Director of White Sound Music Management.

 

She came down from Scotland to study at the RAM and after graduating,  stayed in London pursuing a freelance career, playing with amongst others: Philharmonia, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Irish National Symphony Orchestra,  Scottish Chamber Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Northern Sinfonia, RTE Concert, Ulster Philharmonic, BBC Concert Orchestra, Orquestra do Porto,  Welsh National Opera, Scottish Ballet, London Sinfonietta, Platform Ensemble, Scottish Ballet and English National Ballet.  

 

Her interest in the origins of these original oboe trios was piqued when having to play the unusually virtuosic Cor Anglais parts.  

She is a keen oboe tutor, wind chamber ensemble and youth orchestra coach. She has taught at Winchester College and Benenden as well as Lewisham Centre for Young Musicians. Since returning from Muscat where she worked as oboe tutor to the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and the Muscat Royal Philharmonic Orchestra 2012-14,  she has  worked as oboe tutor to Junior London College of Music and has taken part in educational workshops with Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Orquestra do Norte and Lonarc Oboe Trio.​

                                              has worked in the field of glossy magazines and books in fashion and interiors, graduating from trainee journalist at The National Magazine Company to editor, creative director and consultant.  

 

Working as Homes Editor for County Living and Deputy Editor and Acting Editor of Homes & Gardens

 

She has also been responsible for a small design consultancy, specializing in producing and packaging advertorials for magazines, fashion and beauty shoots for editorial and advertising clients.  

Gabi's parents lived in a town in south east Germany on the border with the Czech Republic a region that was ruled by the Schwarzenberg family.
